Rafe Newton Drops League-Best Performance on Friday

Starting off the list is Ririe's Rafe Newton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Newton rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.

Ririe's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Newton's next match is against Salmon on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Kolter Lewis Delivers Electric Effort Vs North Fremont

Another Ririe player making an appearance on this list is Kolter Lewis. He rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also caught a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

For the season, Lewis has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 122.4 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 53.57 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Martin As North Fremont Fell 38-14

North Fremont had to settle for second on Friday, but Andrew Martin sure wasn't going down easily. Martin was unstoppable, rushing for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

North Fremont's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Martin and North Fremont will welcome West Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

West Jefferson was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Justus Burtenshaw did his best to prevent it. Burtenshaw was unstoppable, rushing for 32 yards.

This season, Burtenshaw has averaged 52.3 rushing yards per game.

Mac Hall Makes It Two for West Jefferson

Keeping Burtenshaw company is Mac Hall, a fellow West Jefferson player. He picked up 40 receiving yards.
