Volleyball Game Preview: Belleville Wildcats vs. River Valley Blackhawks + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Belleville Wildcats and the River Valley Blackhawks will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Belleville not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past New Glarus 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Glarner Knights: they've now won five in a row.

While Belleville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

Belleville can attribute much of their success to Khylee Lietz, who had ten digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Lietz a new career-high.

Meanwhile, River Valley got the win against Dodgeville on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

River Valley was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-13.

River Valley's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Belleville, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.
