Volleyball Game Preview: Forge Christian Fury vs. Fort Lupton Bluedevils

The Forge Christian Fury will take on the Fort Lupton Bluedevils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Forge Christian came up short against Arvada West on Saturday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Fury in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

While Forge Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Fort Lupton didn't have quite enough to beat Windsor Charter Academy on Friday and fell 3-2. The Bluedevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fort Lupton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Forge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Fort Lupton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Forge Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Lupton in their previous matchup on April 8th, winning 3-1. Do the Fury have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bluedevils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
