Soccer Game Preview: Iroquois West vs. Grant Park

The Iroquois West Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Grant Park Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Iroquois West will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Iroquois West took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Schlarman get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. That nine goal margin sets a new team best for Iroquois West this season.

Meanwhile, Grant Park fell victim to Unity Christian Academy and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phoenix. Grant Park have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Grant Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for Iroquois West, they moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Iroquois West suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Grant Park in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
