For the second straight game, Clear Fork will face off against Shelby. The Colts will venture away from home to face off against the Whippets at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Clear Fork is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Clear Fork is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Shelby just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 9-4 to the Whippets.

For Shelby's part, Alyssa Booker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits. Booker has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Katie Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Braylee Sturts was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Shelby lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Shelby and bumps their season record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Clear Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clear Fork has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Shelby struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
