Volleyball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Monmouth United Red Storm.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-12.

Monmouth United got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubrey Bainter out in front who had seven aces and one assist. What's more, Bainter posted two digs, the most she's had over her last two matchups.

Urbana University's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Monmouth United, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Looking ahead, Urbana University will head out to take on Arthur at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monmouth United, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Orion on the 13th.
