Softball Game Preview: Manchester Flying Dutchmen vs. Michigan Center Cardinals

The Manchester Flying Dutchmen are taking a road trip to challenge the Michigan Center Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Manchester's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Manchester fell victim to Hanover-Horton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Comets.

Meanwhile, Michigan Center didn't have quite enough to beat Columbia Central on Monday and fell 7-5. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Michigan Center, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Manchester skirted past Michigan Center 9-8 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flying Dutchmen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
