Baseball Recap: Santa Teresa Finds Home Field Redemption Against Leland

There's no place like home for Santa Teresa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leland Chargers on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Saints as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kaden Kott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has become a key player for Santa Teresa: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Daichi Sagae was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Santa Teresa's record now sits at 9-10. As for Leland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
