After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Cheverus, Kennebunk was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Marshwood Hawks  an   11-0 shutout. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six  runs or more this season.
 Juliann Pike made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs.
 In other batting news,  Talia Kellum was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Mia McCarthy was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Kennebunk was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marshwood only posted a  batting average of  .111.
Kennebunk has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Marshwood, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kennebunk is set to  take on  their familiar foe Thornton Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Marshwood will  square off against  rival South Portland  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
