Softball Preview: St. Henry Crusaders vs. Boone County Rebels

St. Henry is 0-3 against Boone County since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The St. Henry Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Boone County Rebels at 10:00 a.m.

On Thursday, St. Henry fell victim to a tough 19-3 loss at the hands of Campbell County.

Meanwhile, Boone County had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Ryle on Wednesday.

Dani Wright made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Wright has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Wright was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run.

Wright wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ashia Grant, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
