Volleyball Recap: Lee's Summit Takes a Loss

Lee's Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Blue Springs South Jaguars. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Lee's Summit had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19.

Grace Collier paced Lee's Summit's offense, picking up eight kills. Collier got some help from Brecklyn Johnson and her 17 assists.

Lee's Summit's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Blue Springs South, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Lee's Summit is taking a road trip to square off against Blue Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blue Springs South, they will welcome Lee's Summit North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
