Baseball Recap: Halfway Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Halfway and Wheatland squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Halfway had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mules, falling 12-2. The Cardinals have struggled against the Mules recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Halfway's defeat dropped their record down to 25-10. As for Wheatland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-4 record this season.

While Halfway had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
