Baseball Recap: Continental Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Continental's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Pettisville Blackbirds on Friday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Continental saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Pitney, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Pitney is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Continental now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pettisville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Continental is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against North Baltimore at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pettisville, they will take on Toledo Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blackbirds are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
