Basketball Game Preview: East Canton Hornets vs. Ridgewood Generals

East Canton is 2-8 against Ridgewood since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the East Canton Hornets will jump right back in to play the Ridgewood Generals at 2:30 p.m. Ridgewood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on East Canton, who comes in off a win.

East Canton took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They skirted past Tuslaw 32-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since January 17th.

Meanwhile, Ridgewood suffered their biggest defeat since January 15th on Tuesday. They came up short against Garaway, falling 59-38. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

East Canton pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Ridgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

East Canton beat Ridgewood 45-34 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will East Canton repeat their success, or does Ridgewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
