Basketball Recap: Tanner Comes Up Short

Tanner lost against Clements back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tanner Rattlers were dealt a 64-28 defeat at the hands of the Clements Colts. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Colts are ranked 139th).

Tanner lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aubrey Oliver, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Kali Adams, who scored seven points.

Tanner has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season. As for Clements, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Tanner has already played their next contest, an 80-18 loss against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy on the 27th. Clements has also already played their next game (against East Limestone), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
