If United was riding high fresh off their 67-33 takedown of Purchase Line last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The United Lions were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 63-62 to the West Shamokin Wolves. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

United's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3. As for West Shamokin, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

United will take on Northern Cambria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. United knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Northern Cambria likes a good challenge. As for West Shamokin, they will challenge Marion Center at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
