The win lifted Mountain View to 4-3.
As for Santa Clara, it was down by 41 points at the end of the third quarter which was just too much to recover from. It wasn't able to keep up yardage-wise, falling behind with 179 yards in comparison to Los Gatos's 431. Santa Clara's record fell to 2-5 after the loss.
