Basketball Recap: San Francisco Waldorf Starts Season with Win Against Contra Costa Christian

San Francisco Waldorf gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 48-38 win over the Contra Costa Christian Cougars.

San Francisco Waldorf found their leader in freshman Lola Kapka, who went 9-for-13 on her way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Rhoads, who shot 83% from the field en route to 10 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Francisco Waldorf will challenge Galileo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Contra Costa Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Averroes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
