Volleyball Recap: Merrill Has No Trouble Against Stratford

The Merrill Bluejays got the win against the Stratford Tigers on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluejays.

Merrill never let Stratford on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Grace Hoff paced Merrill's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hoff got some help from Kaela Clerveaux and her 29 assists. Avery Hoock controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Merrill now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Stratford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-10 record this season.

Merrill has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Northland Pines on the 11th. As for Stratford, they will square off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
