Volleyball Recap: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Comes Up Short

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech lost against Cape Hatteras on September 5th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Griffins lost 3-0 to the Hurricanes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Griffins have suffered against the Hurricanes since October 14, 2022.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Cape Hatteras' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izzy Ross, who had eight digs and two aces. Those eight digs gave Ross a new career-high.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Cape Hatteras, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech will head out on the road to square off against Lawrence Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cape Hatteras, they will be playing at home against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
