Baseball Recap: Eastern Randolph Falls Short of Uwharrie Charter Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastern Randolph can now relate to. They lost 12-1 to the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Eastern Randolph saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Eastern Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14-1. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Eastern Randolph nor Uwharrie Charter Academy have any future games scheduled.
