Recap: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Jennings County Panthers
The Jeffersonville Red Devils were the 73-63 winner over the Jennings County Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Jeffersonville took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jennings County on Tuesday. Jeffersonville just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jennings County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Juliann Woodard, who scored 18 points along with 9 assists and 7 rebounds. The match was Woodard's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mollie Ernstes, who scored 19 points.
Jeffersonville now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Jennings County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jeffersonville will take on Bloomington South at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bloomington South and Jeffersonville are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Jennings County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Bend Washington at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Bend Washington is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
