Softball Recap: Mabank Comes Up Short

Mabank lost against Canton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 15-4 to the Eagles. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordyn Marker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Mabank's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Canton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-6-2.

Coming up, Mabank will be playing at home against Kemp at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Canton, they will face off against Lindale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canton's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lindale has averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
