Soccer Game Preview: Fort LeBoeuf vs. Cathedral Prep

Fort LeBoeuf is 0-9 against Cathedral Prep since September of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bison will be playing at home against the Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. Fort LeBoeuf's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Fort LeBoeuf is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Harbor Creek on Wednesday. The Bison fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Fort LeBoeuf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Harbor Creek are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep's game on Saturday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out St. Edward 3-2.

Max Johnson and Ethan Cain scored all three of Cathedral Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Cathedral Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those eight contests. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
