After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverside, Horizon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Mountain View Lobos by a score of 10-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Scorpions considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Sophia Morin was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Morin was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arleth Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Horizon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February of 2025.
Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mountain View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
