In other batting news, Fatima Alvarez was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Victoria Zamora was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Notus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .816. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Notus' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greenleaf Friends Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .486. However, it's not like Notus struggles in that department as they've averaged .638. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
