Basketball Game Preview: Morgan Raiders vs. Sheridan Generals

Morgan hasn't had much luck against Sheridan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Morgan Raiders will be playing at home against the Sheridan Generals at 7:15 p.m. Morgan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Morgan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 65-49 victory over Crooksville last Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Morgan relied on the efforts of Tavian Myers, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards, and Luke Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Myers' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Shannon, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Sheridan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The match between them and John Glenn didn't end well, with Sheridan falling 68-52. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Little Muskies are ranked 23rd).

Sheridan now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Morgan, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
