Baseball Recap: North Babylon Finds Home Field Redemption Against Half Hollow Hills East

There's no place like home for North Babylon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Half Hollow Hills East RedHawks on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ryan Camier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jordan Konig was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

North Babylon pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Half Hollow Hills East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
