Soccer Recap: Satellite Takes a Loss

Satellite and Merritt Island squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Satellite had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Merritt Island Mustangs. The Scorpions have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Satellite's goal came courtesy of Jameson Kraft, who's now up to 19 this season.

Satellite's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Merritt Island, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Satellite will square off against Mount Dora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Satellite is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season. Merritt Island has already played their next game (against Lake Wales), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
