Baseball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grand Prairie last Saturday, Trinity came back down to earth. The Trinity Trojans fell just short of the Keller Central Chargers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since April 13, 2024.

Trinity has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-3-2 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. The win made it two in a row for Keller Central and bumps their season record up to 5-7-1.

Looking ahead, Trinity will be playing at home against Southlake Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Southlake Carroll's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Keller Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
