South Sioux City faced Skutt Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 3-2. South Sioux City were not able to make up for their defeat to Skutt Catholic from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Gustavo Garcia and Lazaro Hernandez scored both of South Sioux City's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
