Elle Ruffridge of Pocahontas is the new queen of Iowa high school girls basketball after establishing the state record for career points.

Elle Ruffridge is the new queen of Iowa high school girls basketball.

The Missouri State commit became the state's career scoring leader Tuesday after dropping 31 points in leading Pocahontas (Iowa) to a 73-44 victory over  Northwest Webster (Manson, Iowa.).

The 5-foot-4 senior guard now has 2,774 career points scored and will lead the defending state champion Indians into the Class 3A playoffs starting on Saturday.
