Basketball Recap: Central Baptist Comes Up Short

Central Baptist had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-2 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 66-32 loss at the hands of the Fayette Academy Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Swordsmen of the 63-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Fayette Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 51.5 points thus far.

Fayette Academy can attribute much of their success to Harris Armour, who posted 18 points and six rebounds. Josh Geiser was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

Central Baptist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-29 loss against South Haven Christian on the 21st. As for Fayette Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 72-42 defeat against Christian Brothers on the 22nd.
