Baseball Recap: White Knoll Takes a Loss

White Knoll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Lexington Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 last Tuesday.

White Knoll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Denzel Posey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Jeremy Powell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

White Knoll's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Knoll will take on Newberry at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lexington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lugoff-Elgin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
