Basketball Recap: Blanchester Comes Up Short

Blanchester was the 55-40 winner over Clermont Northeastern when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Blanchester Wildcats fell just short of the Clermont Northeastern Rockets by a score of 46-44 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Rockets since December 6, 2018.

Blanchester's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Clermont Northeastern, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Blanchester will take on Gamble Montessori in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-40 win against Villa Madonna on the 16th.
