Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Payton Elmore and Kailey Allinson Lead South Kitsap to Victory

There's no place like home for South Kitsap, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Kentridge Chargers 3-0 on Friday.

One reason for the win was South Kitsap's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-13.

South Kitsap was led to victory by Kailey Allinson and Payton Elmore. Allinson had 13 digs and four aces, while Elmore had 14 digs and five assists. That's the most digs Elmore has posted over her last six contests.

They weren't the only good servers: South Kitsap was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kentridge only served five.

South Kitsap's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Kentridge, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

South Kitsap wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Graham-Kapowsin on the 22nd. As for Kentridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Auburn on the 23rd.
