Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Knights vs. Slippery Rock Rockets

Franklin hasn't had much luck against Slippery Rock recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Rockets at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Franklin is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since September 26, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Titusville 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won three in a row.

Franklin got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-31, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Slippery Rock got the win against Lakeview on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

Slippery Rock was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 25-18.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Slippery Rock, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4-2.
