Softball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Moore Mustangs, falling 27-10. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Moore, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Southern will face off against Western at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Moore, they will venture away from home to face off against Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
