Preview: T.C. Roberson Rams vs. Franklin Panthers
T.C. Roberson is 0-3 against Franklin since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The T.C. Roberson Rams will look to defend their home field against the Franklin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
T.C. Roberson unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. Their rough 28-7 defeat to A.C. Reynolds might stick with them for a while.
Despite the defeat, T.C. Roberson got a solid performance out of Lex Dinwiddie, who rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown. Dinwiddie hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Meanwhile, Franklin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by West Henderson 41-0. While losing is never fun, Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 249th, while West Henderson is ranked 43rd).
T.C. Roberson's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Franklin, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
T.C. Roberson might still be hurting after the 28-7 loss they got from Franklin when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for T.C. Roberson, Ty Handley (who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
