Basketball Recap: Walnut Ridge Comes Up Short

Walnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 52-32 to the Pocahontas Redskins. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 50-43 to the Redskins when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Walnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pocahontas, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Walnut Ridge and Pocahontas will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bobcats see the court they'll take on Manila at 7:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Pocahontas, their break will end when they face Newport at 7:00 p.m. on December 9.
