Soccer Game Preview: Fowlerville vs. Waverly

The Fowlerville Gladiators are taking a road trip to challenge the Waverly Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Fowlerville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Charlotte. Fowlerville have beaten Charlotte the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Charlotte has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Waverly has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 31. Neither they nor Everett could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The win was a breath of fresh air for Waverly as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Fowlerville now has a winning record of 2-1. Waverly's draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-1.

Fowlerville beat Waverly 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gladiators since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
