Neptune had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Pinelands Regional Wildcats 8-2 on Wednesday. The Scarlet Fliers not only won  on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win  since May 17, 2024 (when they won  10-0).
 Trevor Rummel and  Jack Gamba-Ellis made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Rummel   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Gamba-Ellis   struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits. Those  eight  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. At bat,  Rummel  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, while  Gamba-Ellis  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Gamba-Ellis also  hit a  triple, marking his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jordan Torres, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  his first of the season.
The  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Pinelands Regional, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the  loss, which was their seventh straight  on the road.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neptune will take on Freehold Boro at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Pinelands Regional, they will venture away from home to  take on Manchester Township  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
