Crestview had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the St. Paul Flyers a 10-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Carlee Crider, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bria White, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Crestview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in nine consecutive matches.

Crestview pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for St. Paul, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crestview beat the Flyers by a score of 13-3 on Saturday.
