Volleyball Game Preview: Leander Lions vs. Rouse Raiders

Leander hasn't had much luck against Rouse recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will head out to face off against the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. Leander is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Leander beat Glenn 3-1.

Leander walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 17-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Leander got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sierra Lumbreras out in front who had seven digs and two aces. Lumbreras is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Rouse came up short against Liberty Hill on Friday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

While Rouse ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Rouse's defeat dropped their record down to 22-17. As for Leander, their victory bumped their record up to 20-18.
