Baseball Recap: Nashoba Regional Takes a Loss

Nashoba Regional lost against Shepherd Hill Regional last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves fell just short of the Rams by a score of 6-5. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Jackson Libby made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Molzahn, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Nashoba Regional's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nashoba Regional will square off against Hudson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 4, the Hawks 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, they will take on Burncoat at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
