Coastal Christian has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cape Fear Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Centurions will look to defend their home court against the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m.

Coastal Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Hoggard just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Centurions have suffered since September 5th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Cape Fear Academy earned a 3-1 victory over Arendell Parrott Academy on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Coastal Christian better focus on containing Lila Hammer and Kate Hancock as the pair were huge in Cape Fear Academy's win. Hammer had 20 assists and ten digs, while Hancock had 12 digs. Hammer has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 27 times she's played.

Cape Fear Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Coastal Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Cape Fear Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

Coastal Christian skirted past Cape Fear Academy 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Centurions repeat their success, or do the Hurricanes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
