Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Comes Up Short

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maret Frogs.

Kennedy Austin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Maret, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Austin has scored at least a third of Maret's points. The team also got some help courtesy of London Liley, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 20 points and five rebounds.

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Maret, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
