Football Recap: Elma Takes a Loss

Elma fell victim to Tenino and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Beavers and fell 42-0. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Isaac McGaffey threw for 39 yards on six of 17 attempts. Colt Landstrom was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

Elma's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tenino, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elma will square off against Black Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tenino, they will face off against Hoquiam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
