Baseball Recap: Samson Comes Up Short

Samson fell victim to Geneva and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Geneva Panthers. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meetings.

Samson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Geneva, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Samson will take on Kinston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Samson has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Geneva, they will face off against Charles Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
