Softball Recap: Shepherd Comes Up Short

Shepherd lost against Meridian back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bluejays fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 4-3. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carli Dubois made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Elise McDonald, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Shepherd's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Meridian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shepherd will square off against Gladwin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they will challenge St. Louis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
